‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ News 2015: Arnold Schwarzenegger Replaces Donald Trump As Host Of The Show [VIDEO]
When he said he'll be back, he definitely meant it. It's being reported this morning that former California governor and Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzennegger will be replacing Donald Trump as the new host of NBC's hit reality competition show, the Celebrity Apprentice.
According to Entertainment Weekly on Monday, Schwarzenegger will be taking over hosting duties from Trump, who earlier this summer was fired from the show after making controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants living in the United States. He is now running for the White House as a Republican candidate.
"We are thrilled to be opening a powerful new chapter in the story of the Apprentice franchise," said Paul Telegdy, the President of Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC Entertainment. "Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves. It was Arnold's personal passion for the format that Mark Burnett and Donald Trump built over the last decade, as well as his fresh take on how to take it to new heights for today's audiences, that made him the man to hire. The Celebrity Apprentice ... will be back!"
Schwarzenegger himself added, "I have always been a huge fan of The Celebrity Apprentice and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork. I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity. Let's get started!"
The show will return on the air for the 2016-2017 television season. So far, Trump himself has not made any comments about his replacement.
