"There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica," a representative for Weight Watchers said. The "Expect Amazing" commercial, which highlight's Simpson's 50 pound weight loss, was shot at the same time as the 30-second ad posted on YouTube Wednesday in which the pop singer, 32, announced her second pregnancy with fiance Eric Johnson.
Simpson signed on with Weight Watchers to be there celebrity spokesperson in May 2011 in an estimated $3 million deal. The collaboration was decided on the same month that Simpson gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson. On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Simpson announced she is expecting her second child by tweeting a photo of Maxwell, now 7 months old, sitting in front of a sand-drawn sign that said "Big Sis."
"It definitely wasn't planned," a source confirmed to Us Weekly. "But yes, Jessica is pregnant again."
The Weight Watchers spokesperson also said Simpson will not follow the diet during her pregnancy, as recommended for any woman during pregnancy. However, after she gives birth, the singer and her doctor will decide when she can resume following the Weight Watchers program.
Following her first pregnancy, during which she weighted at most 170 pounds at once, Weight Watchers helped Simpson lose 60 pounds in five months. She praised the combination of the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and workout sessions for her weight loss success.
