Many have taken notice of 2016 Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump's #AskTrump Q&A on Twitter today and already blasted it as a failure which obviously backfired-but the campaign could actually have been a smart move for the controversial candidate.

At a quick glance, it appears the campaign did fail, as the hashtag quickly went viral with a lot of questions that had somewhat less to do with what he would do if he were elected president, but more to do with his polarizing comments about immigrants, gays and women since he announced his candidacy-with others also criticizing him for how his comments seem hypocritical when looking at his own past.

Naturally, Trump seemed to avoid answering these questions, choosing to answer a select few that did ask about some of his plans for policies as President-including whether or not he would protect Israel (yes), how he would help the homeless (get them jobs and take them back from others), and how he would attack the student debt crisis (make school more affordable), though he did also take time to answer questions about football as well-specifically about the Dallas Cowboys and Joe Flacco.

In the end, Trump also went on to say he had a great time with the event-which has been lauded in most media reports as an epic failure because of the questions he got-but one Twitter user managed to point out that it may not have been so unsuccessful after all if it was actually a planned publicity stunt.
