A man was pushed to his death Thursday night in front of a New York City subway train in in Queens, according to local media reports.

An unidentified woman reportedly pushed the man into the path of an oncoming 7 train at the 40th Street station in Queens. Witnesses described the woman as heavyset and in her 20s, according to the New York Times.

The victim and the woman did not exchange any words and it appeared that the man did not notice her before she pushed him, reported the New York Times and NBC New York.

Police were searching for the woman who was wearing a gray, white and blue jacket and gray Nike sneakers, according to the Times.

She reportedly ran down to the street and fled, the New York Post reports.

This is the second time in this month that a person is killed after been pushed onto the New York City subway.

On Dec. 3, 58-year-old Ki-Suck Han died as he was hit by a train at Manhattan's 49th Street station near Times Square.

The victim was pushed by a deli worker identified as Naeem Davis, 30 who has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
