Hugh Hefner Marries On NYE Crystal Harris, PICTURES Of Wedding
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner married model Crystal Harris in a private ceremony held at the Playboy mansion on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles.
Hugh, 86, confirmed news of the wedding on his Twitter account by posting a photo of him with his new bride, 26, along with the caption "Happy New Year from Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hefner!"
He also wrote on Monday "Crystal & I married on New Year's Eve in the Mansion with Keith as my Best Man. Love that girl!"
Crystal, who changed her last name after getting married, wore a light pink mermaid-style floor-length, strapless wedding dress while Hugh was dressed in a black tuxedo. They married in front of a few guests under an archway inside the Playboy Mansion that was lined with red, pink and white flowers. At the wedding reception/New Year's Eve party, done in an Art Deco theme, Jazz singer Brenna Whitaker and her band performed, according to Us Weekly.
The couple tweeted details about the wedding throughout the day on Monday and also the following day. Crystal tweeted on Monday, "Today is the day I become Mrs. Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed."
She then commented the following day on how "the harpist and flutist did an amazing job last night. They played 'As Time Goes By,' 'Because You Loved Me,' 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'...and 'Chasing Cars.' They continued to play through the night."
The former "Girls Next Door" star confirmed on her Twitter account her engagment to Hugh in December by posting a picture of her engagement ring with the caption "My beautiful ring from @hughhefner." She called off her previous engagement to Hugh in June 2011 and sold her first engagement ring, which also had a band of diamonds leading up to the center cut, at auction a few months after.
Crystal is Hugh's third wife. He married Mildred Williams in 1949 and the couple had two children together -- Christie and David -- before divorcing in 1959. He then married Kimberley Conrad, the mother of his sons Marston and Cooper, in 1989 and filed for divorce in 2009 after an 11-year separation.
This is Crystal's first marriage.
