Kim Kardashian, Kanye West To Marry Soon, Wedding Plans: Report
Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Kanye West plan to marry as soon as the reality television star finalizes her divorce to NBA player Kris Humphries, a source revealed, according to Showbizspy.
Though West recently announced that Kardashian is pregnant with their first child, the E! Channel star is still legally married to Humphries. Their 72-day marriage ended in August 2011 but proceedings are still taking place. Therefore, they are still legally binded in marriage until the paperwork is finished. A time frame has not been reported as to when the divorce will finalized.
As far as an upcoming wedding for the rapper and his girlfriend, they reportedly cannot wait until Kardashian is officially divorced.
"They wanted to get married before starting a family but the divorce changed everything because its taken so long to finalize," a source said. "Kanye and Kim will definitely get married after the divorce is settled with Kris."
Humphries and his legal team have reportedly delayed the proceedings by seeking an annulment rather than a simple divorce settlement. Humphries said the marriage was a fraud because Kardashian only married him for publicity. West, on the other hand, is said to be angry because he is ready to marry Kardashian but can't until she is legally divorced.
It was reported in July 2012 that West started to design an engagement ring for Kardashian using some jewelry from his late mother's collection.
Rumors of wedding plans started circulating even before the couple announced Kardashian's pregnancy on Sunday, Dec. 30. An insider said the reality star and West hope to get married soon, and in England of all places. Kardashian is a fan of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and wants her own wedding to West to be just as royal and lavish as Middleton's nuptials with Prince William.
''Kim would love to wed at Westminster Abbey like William and Catherine, but that won't be possible. Instead she's been looking at castles near London," the insider said. "She wants the most spectacular wedding and she's talking about having guests like Jay-Z and Beyonce, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna and Katy Perry arrive in horse drawn carriages - just like the royal wedding.''
