Rupert Murdoch: Media Tycoon Apologizes For Offensive Tweet About Obama, But Is It Too Late? [PHOTO]
News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch found himself in some hot water following a tweet supporting Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson this week.
In his tweet, Murdoch praises Carson, but appears to insult current President Barack Obama, by insinuating he is either not really black or not really president.
Ben and Candy Carson terrific. What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide? And much else.

And after intense response to the comment, he later apologized for the remark, saying he did respect both men.
Apologies! No offence meant. Personally find both men charming. — Rupert Murdoch (@rupertmurdoch) October 8, 2015
But unfortunately for Murdoch, the damage appears to be too much to take back, as the backlash has continued online over his comments, with many criticizing him and his network (News Corp. owns Fox News which isn't exactly known for being a big fan of President Obama) for being racist.
Rupert Murdoch has presided over a 365/24/7 Klan rally otherwise known as @FoxNews for years. So Rupert can have a seat, preferably in hell.

What Rupert Murdoch meant was Ben Carson is a Mr. Bojangles, fetus hugging, Negro without a clue, which represents HIS idea of Blackness. — Voncile Mayes (@allheavens) October 8, 2015

It shouldn't have to be said...but Rupert Murdoch clearly needs a nap (and several seats). — Karen Hunter (@karenhunter) October 8, 2015
Rupert Murdoch wants a real black president now that Fox has spent the last 8 years practicing race-baiting on a fake black president.

Obama is of course a real black President. And Rupert Murdoch is a real racist.

Others took to Twitter to question if Murdoch's comment meant that they and President Obama had to check in with him to authenticate whether they were "black enough" for him:
Dear @FoxNews , So do we all have to check in with Rupert Murdoch to make sure we're a "real Black" now?

President Obama must be devastated that he doesn't pass Rupert Murdoch's blackness test. — Magneato (@pungodly) October 8, 2015
You have to pass the Rupert Murdoch test of Blackness, because you know, he knows what it means to be a real black man in America.

Others also used his comments against him-making jokes about why he couldn't really be who he was, as well as commenting that they were sad he was trending for the reason he was
Rupert Murdoch implied that Obama isn't a REAL black POTUS but he's just bitter about the time Obama said Murdoch wasn't the real Voldemort. — OhNoSheTwitnt (@OhNoSheTwitnt) October 8, 2015
Rupert Murdoch doesn't need you to defend him he has billions of dollars and horcruxes guarding him. https://t.co/5mSDNki6pi
