'Empire' TV Show: Newspaper Comes For Bryshere Gray & His Acting Skills [VIDEO]
Empire might be one of the most popular shows on television to date for Fox, but one of the actors is being called out for well…being a bad actor.
The New York Post has slammed none other than Bryshere Y. Gray, who also goes by Yazz The Greatest when he’s rapping. But to many fans, he’s known as the youngest Lyon brother, Hakeem, on Empire.
In an essay how bad Empire is doing in in its sophomore season, the prominent newspaper points out that Gray “could use a few acting lessons.”

They also said that funny guy Chris Rock portraying a gangster was not the best fit.
“No way does Rock give off even a whiff of homicidal tendencies.”
Fans can’t ignore that the series has gotten a bit crowded with cameos and guest stars from other celebrities. From Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz rocking the stage in the premiere to Ludacris playing an overzealous cop in Lucious Lyon’s jail, it’s no secret there are way more familiar faces this time around for Empire; which the Post points out as a bad decision.
“When a series such as ‘Empire’ makes it big, everyone comes crawling out of the woodwork trying to get a guest spot (for bragging rights).”
And it’s not over yet. Radio host Charlemagne actually announced via his Instagram that he would be joining the series as a guest. Still, the article added that the show “just has to do better” in the future.
Catch Empire Wednesdays on Fox at 9/8c.
