A preview of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone was released in a video depicting some of its features.

Samsung unveiled their new Exynos 5 Octa processor during the company's keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 that took place this week in Las Vegas, Nev. The new video released by the South Korean tech giant depicted how the new processor will run and how it will use its cores to give users the best possible performance from a mobile phone.

The company announced that the new processor would be used for the products expected to be released by Samsung in 2013. The Exynos 5 Octa is a 8-Core processor that is supposed to be very advanced compared to the technology currently in the top smartphones on the market.

The release date for the new device is rumored to be in April, which would make the phone's predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S3, exactly one year old upon the debut, according to Auto-Mobile.

Some of the rumors specs for the Samsung Galaxy S4 include a boasted 5-inch 1080p display, 8-core processor (two sets of quad-core processors), 13MP rear camera and an S-Pen in the box.

The processor will run on a Cortex-A7 chip for light tasks as well as a Cortex-A15 for more sophisticated necessities to conserve energy.

The keynote was delivered by Dr. Stephen Woo, president of Device Solutions Business for Samsung Electronics. The company also introduced their own green memory solutions, green LCD technology and flexible OLED.

The theme of Samsung's address was "Mobilizing Possibility," which was intended to show the company's innovative components for bringing future technology to the present market.

Another video, posted to YouTube on Dec. 26, shows a rendering of what the new Samsung Galaxy S4 should look like when it is released.
