Corvette 2014 Photos Leaked Online Ahead of Sunday Reveal, Free Live Stream Sunday @7pm
The first photos of the all new 2014 Corvette - which the manufacturer says is designed to provide more driving excitement, fuel efficiency and driving power - were leaked online Saturday ahead of its debut Sunday afternoon at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit which is expected to draw 800,000 visitors.
The seventh generation Corvette's photo was leaked by Jalopnik and features the front of the car while another auto sites leaked photos of the car's back. The front picture was reportedly taken from an upcoming issue of Road & Track magazine. The second leaked picture shows the Corvette's back-end and reveals more of it's exterior design. It was leaked by car blogs reportedly taken from the next cover of Automobile magazine.

"What we see are the lights, rear quarter panel, and lower fascia - all of which have a squared-off look," GM Authority wrote. "Just like in the front, LED lights are present and accounted for, as are the center-exiting quad exhaust pipes that have been synonymous with Corvette. And check out that C-pillar flowing into the sloping liftback! Yours truly thinks it's sexy as all heck... but you may not agree."
The leaked photos built up expectations for tomorrow's debut. Earlier the manufacturer had offered details on the car's front grill.
"The all-new Corvette integrates more high-performance aerodynamic features than ever before, many taken directly from Corvette Racing," said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer in a statement in November. "For example, the front grill and radiator flow paths reduce lift, improving vehicle stability at high speeds by keeping the car pressed to the pavement. In addition, functional vents increase track capability by channeling air to the brakes, as well as heat exchangers for the transmission and differential."
Corvette exterior design manager Kirk Bennion previously said the car's "sculpted design excites in all the ways that a Corvette has for six decades, with elements carefully shaped in the wind tunnel to increase airflow potential and improve cooling for a system that is as efficient as possible."
"It's said that form follows function, but in the case of the aerodynamic 2014 Corvette, form and function work cohesively to produce beautiful purpose," Bennion added in November.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is expected to be the most powerful and the quickest standard Corvette ever, with preliminary output of 450 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque and estimated 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) performance of less than four seconds, according to the manufacturer. The 2014 Corvette is expected to go to the Middle East in late 2013.
The reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will be live streamed from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, Chevrolet announced.
