This weekend, virtual rock stars will get a chance to play through all of Guitar Hero Live's tracks for free.

Starting Nov. 6, we'll be given on-demand access to Guitar Hero Live's 200-plus songs, including "American Idiot" by Green Day and "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" by Jet.

Gamers will also be able to earn additional Premium Shows, such as "First Date" by Blink-182 and "Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy. These special shows can be unlocked by earning three or more stars throughout three consecutive performances.

Additionally, Guitar Hero Live's songs list is set to expand by over 70 songs by the end of 2015. Songs by Weezer, Judas Priest, System of a Down, and Alice in Chains are rumored to be coming to GHTV, the online database for all of Guitar Hero Live's songs. Through GHTV, gamers can purchase downloadable songs and content by using either in-game currency or real money.

Despite mixed reviews citing microtransactions as a downside to the newest iteration of Guitar Hero, Activision stated in its Quarter 3 2015 report a "strong early reception from fans," noting that the average "guitar hero" plays the game for roughly two hours a day.

Although some reviewers have reported disappointment in the game's presentation, it seems the overall Guitar Hero experience is as enjoyable as it's ever been. Hopefully we'll see Activision continue to add new songs and other innovations to Guitar Hero Live as time moves on.
