2K Sports Reveal NBA 2K18 Alternate Cover Featuring Kyrie Irving In Celtics Jersey: To Be Made Available In The Future
2K Sports just came up and revealed the cover of the NBA 2K18 which features Kyrie Irving wearing a Boston Celtics jersey. It was also added that with his new jersey, this is not simply a swap of jersey from the Cleveland Cavaliers edition.
In the aid cover of the BNA 2K18, Kyrie can be seen with his hands by his side in the Boston Celtics cover compared to the Cavs version wherein he is going for a layup. It can be recalled that last week, a video which showed the first look of Irving wearing a Celtics uniform in Boston's TD Garden was released.
According to Gamespot, the alternate cover of the NBA 2K18 will be made available at some point in the future but the 2K did not give any exact date for its availability. The NBA fans and the NBA 2K18 players can no longer wait to have this new cover following its release.
Kyrie Irving made headlines in the NBA recently which started when he reportedly asked for a trade months ago. With this, the cover change did not come as a surprise anymore but because of this, the 2K faced a certain challenge.
When it was confirmed and the Kyrie Irving trade became official, the NBA 2K responded with a tweet, saying, "Whoops," in a response to a tweet which showed Irving in his Cavaliers uniform. Apart from this, Forbes reported that the NBA 2K officially launched for Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC on September 19.
Previous reports also claimed that NBA legends Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett will also serve as guest commentators in one of the games of NBA 2K18. It has already been a tradition that 2K18 invites star players as rotating commentators.
Meanwhile, it was also added that Canada will receive its own special version with DeMar DeRozan from the Raptors as its cover. Moreover, a special edition will also be released with Shaquille O'Neal on its cover. The NBA 2K18's The Prelude demo was released just on September 8, 2017, which integrated the new social space.
