Samuel L. Jackson showcased his singing ability by doing a cover of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" during his recent visit to a British radio station.

The 64-year-old actor, nominated this season for his role in the film "Django Unchained," paid a visit to Capital FM, during which the show's host took in callers requesting songs. One listener called in and admitted to dealing with an ex-boyfriend who would not understand that their relationship is over.

To hint to him the fact once more, she requested Swift's first single off her album "Red." Yahoo! noted that the radio station thought it would be interesting if the message came from Jackson himself rather than the 23-year-old singer. The result was a cover of Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" done by Jackson, which quickly became an Internet sensation.

Though Jackson's take on the breakup song included curse words and angry ad-libs, Swift appreciated the song's cover. She tweeted on Wednesday, "Samuel L Jackson. YES" along with a link to an audio clip of Jackson singing the tune.

The YouTube video, posted online on Jan. 11, had close to 500,000 views at time of publication.

"Django Unchained" was nominated at this year's Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 13, for best screenplay, best motion picture in the drama category and a best director nod for Quentin Tarantino's work. Swift was nominated for best original song in a motion picture for "Safe & Sound," off of "The Hunger Games" soundtrack. For a fill list of all the night's winners click here.

Controversy surrounded Tarantino after he used the taboo N-word backstage at the Golden Globes while taking questions regarding his film. The director had just picked up his award for Best Screenplay and said the racist term while defending his slavery-era film at the press podium.
