Man City vs Fulham, Live Stream! Watch Premier League Online @ 3 PM GMT
In a Premier League showdown. Manchester City will take on Fulham in what should be an exciting matchup on Saturday.
City manager Robert Mancini told his captain Vincent Kompany to tone down his tackling style or risk getting more ejections.
Kompany has now been removed three times for the City squad in his 4 ½ years on the football club. Mancini has spoken to him regarding his approach to challenges.
Although Kompany's red card versus Arsenal was rescinded, Mancini did tell The Mirror that it's imperative he's more careful during those situations in games.
"Vinnie's a defender and sometimes when a defender is under pressure he can do a bad tackle," said Mancini, ahead of the home game against out-of-form Fulham. "I think he needs to pay more attention, because this has happened two times.
"We can have a problem if we have another situation like this. I spoke with Vinny and told him to have more attention when he tackles. I told him to pay attention and that it's better that you don't go in sometimes. Sometimes, if you wait and don't do a tackle, it's better," he continued.
In other news, Mancini said he felt no relief after hearing that former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, who had been suspected of succeeding him in City, had come to terms with Bayern Munich for next football season.
"I didn't have any problem with this. I could understand if in three years we won nothing, but we've won three trophies in three years. We'll probably continue to win in the future."
