Paris Attacks Update: 40 Reported Dead As Hostage Situation, Shootings & Explosions Wrack French Capital [VIDEO]
At least 40 people are dead and 60 are hostages as a wave of attacks continues to devastate Paris.
The French capital was the target of multiple shootings and explosions on Friday night, according to the BBC, and the death toll continues to rise. Affecting at least one restaurant, a bar near the Stade de France, and the Bataclan concert hall, the attacks have affected the 10th and 11th Arrondissements.
It is currently unknown who is responsible for the shootings and bombings, but The New York Times reports that witnesses have reported hearing shouts of "Allahu akbar!"

The French president was attending the French vs. Germany friendly soccer match at the Stade de France, but he was quickly moved to safety, according to the BBC. The match has since ended.
Bataclan concert hall is close to the location where the Charlie Hebdo headquarters was attacked by Islamic militants in January.
