The Los Angeles Lakers (17-23) will face off against the Chicago Bulls (23-16) at the United Center on Monday night. While the Lakers continue to struggle immensely, the Bulls have performed quite well for the most part.

However, Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau wasn't satisfied with the team's latest effort, as the team lost 85-82 to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

"We just have to keep battling and battling and battling. In the end, whatever is necessary, that is what you have to do to win. You have to get in the fight. It's physical and you can't get thrown around," Thibodeau told the Chicago Bulls' official website.

Nonetheless, a worse-off Los Angeles squad heads into the matchup against Chicago attempting to avoid their longest losing streak on the road in eight seasons.

The Lakers have lost eight of ten games overall after kicking off a three-game trip on Sunday with a 108-103 defeat to the Toronto Raptors.

Los Angeles, who fell behind by as many as 19 points in the last quarter, have lost five straight games.

"I didn't feel like we were ready to play. We cut too many corners at too many different times in the game and had too big a hole to climb out of," point guard Steve Nash told ESPN.

"We've got a lot of issues. Offensively, the ball sticks and we don't take very good shots. Defensively, ups and downs, we forget guys," coach Mike D' Antoni stated.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Chicago will more than likely be without the services of its top scorer Luol Deng, who is still hurting from a right hamstring injury.
