New rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S4 suggest that the latest smartphone could be launched on April 15.

Samsung is expected to make an announcement about the new flagship device in March, with possible events to take place around the world. The Galaxy S4 is expected to be the top-of-the-line smartphone on the market and it will feature wireless charging as a key feature.

However, unlike the Nokia Lumia 920 or Droid DNA, the service won't be built-in. Users will have to buy a kit with a wireless charging station and replacement cover.

The new launch date followed rumors that the smartphone's codename "Project J" changed to "Altius(J)," according to a report by SamMobile.

Some of the rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy S4 include a boasted 5-inch 1080p display, 8-core processor (two sets of quad-core processors), 13MP rear camera and an S-Pen in the box.

Samsung unveiled their new Exynos 5 Octa processor, one of the phone's new features, during the company's keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 that took place earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nev. A new video released by the South Korean tech giant showed how the new processor will run and how it will use its cores to give users the best possible performance from a mobile phone.

The company announced that the new processor would be used for the products expected to be released by Samsung in 2013. The Exynos 5 Octa is an 8-Core processor that is supposed to be very advanced compared to the technology currently used in the top smartphones on the market.

The processor will run on a Cortex-A7 chip for light tasks as well as a Cortex-A15 for more sophisticated necessities to conserve energy.
