New rumors suggest that Nokia is working on a new high-end Windows Phone 8 device.

The phone code, named "EOS," will be a complete Pure View Windows Phone, according to sources for The Verge.

It is unknown how far along Nokia is in the development of the new device, but Ubergizmo reported that the company will unveil its upgraded phone at the Mobile World Congress 2013. The MWC event will take place in Barcelona and is from Feb 25. to Feb. 28.

So what is known currently about the "EOS" smartphone?

The latest rumors suggest that the Nokia "EOS" will have an aluminum case more developed than the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 plastic cases. One of the most notable features is a fully upgraded Pure View camera that is said to be along the lines of the camera found in Nokia's Pure View 808 smartphone.

The Nokia "EOS" will rank in the top level of their smartphone line with an upgraded processor as well.

It looks like wireless carrier AT&T will be the first to carry the "EOS" in 2013 if the rumors turn out to be true. The device may also be available later on for Verizon's 4G LTE network, according to GagetInsiders.

The Nokia Lumia 920 model currently on the market has top features that include a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, and a 4.5-inch screen, complimented by both an 8.7-megapixel camera and a "PureView" Camera. The "EOS" will reportedly carry a sensor akin to the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone.

AT&T currently operates as the carrier for the exclusive mode at a price of $99 with a two-year contract. The company also has a deal for a free wireless charging plate with purchase of the phone, which costs $50 if bought separately.
