New information for the gaming console PlayStation 4 was reported by Kotaku on Wednesday, which included talks of a new controller.

The information on the PS4, codenamed "Orbis," revealed the technical specifications and design for a new controller based on Kotau's alleged acess to 90 PDFs with official documentation on the console.

The latest rumored specs for the upcoming console detail a top-of-the-line gaming platform.

The current rumored specifications for the PS4 development kit includes the following: an 8GB system memory, 2.2 GB video memory, an eight-core AMD64 CPU and an AMD R10XX GPU, four USB 3.0 ports, a Blu-Ray drive, 160GB HDD, and an audio output equipped with HDMI & Optical, 2.0, 5.1 & 7.1 channels.

There are also rumors of a new design for the console's controller.

Gaming executives at Sony plan to ditch the iconic design of the Dualshock controller for a new model for its next-generation console, as reported last week by PlayStation Universe.

Two controllers are possibly in development.

Currently named the Orbis Development Tool, one controller will apparently feature motion-sensing and a capacitive touchpad, similar to the back of PlayStation Vita, as well as a 'Share' button. The other input device will be a redesigned Move controller.

Kotaku said that the current specs for the PS4 support the previous and current model Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers. It is still unknown when Sony will unveil the new PS4, but tech analysts at VideoGamer reported that it may be released at the the Game Developers Conference in March.

The report quoted the February issue of Game Informer magazine, which stated that an "Apple-style press conference" will take place at the Game Developers Conference March 25-29.

The current rumored price for the gaming console is around $350 to $400.
