Resident Evil: Revelations Release Date May for PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360; Trailer and Screenshots Released
Capcom announced plans for a remake of Resident Evil: Revelations for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and the PC.
The big part about this title is the new enhanced HD graphics and much better lighting. The game will retail for $49.99 on shelves but it will be available digitally on PS3 and PC on launch day with Xbox and Wii U digital versions coming later.
Resident Evil: Revelations has been quite notable to the fans of the series, as it introduces many elements that revive the pure survival horror genre that earlier Resident Evil titles had.
The game remake will be officially named as Resident Evil: Revelations Unveiled Edition, according to StickSkills.
New additions include a playable Hunk for the co-op Raid Mode, a new enemy, a new difficulty, new Raid Mode weapons and parts to make even more weapons.
The game will reportedly launch on May 21 in the US and May 24 in the UK, according to Wii U Daily.
The Official Nintendo Magazine website posted a trailer for the Wii U version of Resident Evil: Revelations. The teaser trailer gives players a glimpse at what to expect when exploring the Queen Zenobia ship as well as a peek at a never before seen monster.
Fans can also check out a series of screenshots that were released by Capcom that show some of the chilling moments of the new version.
An achievements list was also posted to Exophase.com but no confirmation on whether it is an official release.
The original Resident Evil: Revelations came out last February on the 3DS with a more classic, lonely experience of earlier games. It was meant to be memories of the series' high-water mark Resident Evil 4 and follows the exploits of original series stars Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.
