Miss Alabama Katherine Webb started covering the Super Bowl XLVII as a news reporter for "Inside Edition" on Tuesday, official Media Day for the sporting event.

Webb, who is dating University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, interviewed NFL players from the defending teams who will compete at the Super Bowl: the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens. To her surprise, reporters from other news media outlets turned their cameras on her and interviewed her.

Webb shared her experience and how busy she has been ever since she was thrust into the spotlight at the BCS National Championship game on Dec. 7. She shared that she flew to New Orleans from Los Angeles earlier that day and described the experience as "crazy."

"It's been absolutely crazy," Webb told USA TODAY. "I feel like I'm one of the players or coaches being interviewed. I've been hounded by media. I flew in from Los Angeles last night late so I'm running on about four hours of sleep."

The "Inside Edition" reporting job is one of several she landed within a week after ESPN announcer Brent Musburger pointed out her pageant-worthy good looks live on camera during the BCS National Championship, in which her boyfriend played.

Webb also landed a reality show job in addition to her hosting duties for "Inside Edition." She is currently filming the celebrity diving competition "Splash," where she will compete against comedian Louie Anderson, Drake Bell (Nick" Drake & Josh"), Chuy Bravo (Chelsea Handler's sidekick on "Chelsea Lately"), Keyshia Knight Pulliam ("Cosby Show"), former Playboy pinup Kendra Wilkinson and Nicole Eggert of "Baywatch" fame.

Webb will also appear in an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue. Thanks to Donald Trump, she will be one of the judges at the next Miss USA pageant.
