Apple iPhone 5S Leaked Photos; Possible Look at iPhone 6?
Supposed leaked images of Apple's iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 were reported by a French website over the weekend.
The photos come from the site Nowhereelse.fr which claims to show an iPhone 5S part and an iPhone 6 part.
The site claims it found the photos online, from a source who believed the iPhone 5S release is on track for summer and the iPhone 6 launch could arrive by the end of this year.
The images were apparently leaked online by an employee of the Far Eastern company which manufactures the parts for Apple, according to The Daily Mail.
Nowhereelse.fr pulled the leaked iPhone parts photos, citing a request from the source, but the images can also be seen on MacRumors.
One photo shows an iPhone 5 speaker enclosure as well as the claimed iPhone 5S part and iPhone 6 part.
Other parts show numerous differences, in size and shape, and it is more likely that these are for the iPhone 5S. It appears that Apple may be testing designs, but not preparing for the iPhone 6 this early, according to SlashGear.
A second photo shows the alleged iPhone 5S part and the iPhone 6 part side by side. This photo shows that the iPhone 5S speaker enclosure is much thinner than the part marked iPhone 6.
The image showed several design changes from the iPhone 5 backside to the claimed iPhone 5S back. The biggest changes are in the red rectangle with visible changes to the logic board attachment area and fewer screws used to hold the LCD in place as shown by the blue lines.
The latest rumors suggest that Apple will start production on the iPhone 5S in March with a launch date likely for around June.
Peter Misek, an employee at investment bank Jeffries, previously said in December that Apple had cut parts orders for the iPhone 5 with claims that iPhone 5S will likely have a 4.8-inch display a new super HD camera, an IGZO screen for Retina plus, 128GB storage, and come in a variety of colors.
The selling price for the iPhone 5S is rumored to be a lower-cost version of its predecessor at around $350 to $450, according to CNET.
