Samsung Galaxy S4 Release Date in April? Rumored Features & Specs Revealed
The latest rumors about Samsung suggest that the company may unveil the Galaxy S4 in April.
PhoneArena reportedly got a hold of internal documents from a retailer in New Zealand about a possible sales competition that might hint to the release of Samsung's latest smartphone.
The contest appears to be for 2Degrees, a New Zealand prepaid carrier that currently sells the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2. The documents stated that there will be prizes for the best salespeople, with the competition expected to start the first week of April. The tech website stated that the competition will be from Feb. 4 to April 8.
The winners of the competition will reportedly receive a new Galaxy S4.
Other reports also suggested that the Galaxy S4 will arrive in April. Geeky-Gadgets claimed to have received a tip from a source working in a major retailer in the U.K that Samsung's smartphone will launch sometime between April 15 and April 22.
Samsung's latest smartphone will run on the new Exynos 5 Octa, which is an 8-Core processor that is supposed to be very advanced compared to the technology currently used in the top smartphones on the market.
Some of the other rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy S4 include a boasted 4.99-inch 1080p display, 8-core processor (two sets of quad-core processors), 13MP rear camera, a S-Pen in the box and an enhanced Nature UX software skin. It will also come with Android 4.2 pre-loaded onto the device.
GottaBeMobile reported that the Galaxy S4 will likely be sold at Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile upon initial release in the U.S., with AT&T potentially receiving its own model of the device.
