Jenelle Evans will soon face a jury trial in regard to an assault case involving the Teen Mom 2 star and the new girlfriend of her ex-fiance.

In August, Evans was accused of throwing a glass at the head of Jessica Henry, the girlfriend of Nathan Griffith, during a meeting at her home, and now, her attorney has requested the case be heard by a jury.

On Friday, the Administrator for the Horry County jury court released a statement to Radar Online, explaining, “The case will automatically come to jury court. A notice will be sent to [Jenelle and her attorney] in the mail notifying them of the date of the trial. It will be sometime next year.”

Jenelle Evans Claims She Quit 'Teen Mom 2,' But Is That Even Contractually Possible?

In the police report from the incident, obtained by Radar Online in October, an officer wrote that Evans “stated that she walked outside and the victim got out of the truck. The arrestee claimed that she was in fear, so she threw water at the victim and the jar slipped from her hand. The arrestee stated that the victim caught the jar and threw it back at the arrestee, striking her back and then broke.”

However, as the officer noted in the report, Evans' story would have resulted in broken glass farther away from where she was standing in the driveway, but that wasn't the case. In addition, he stated, “I looked and did not observe any redness or any other injury to the arrestee’s back."
