A pregnant prison guard was accused on Tuesday of having sexual relations with a jailed cop killer, according to a close source to the investigation.

CNN reports that Federal Bureau of Prisons officer Nancy Gonzalez, 29, was put under arrest on suspicion of unlawful sexual abuse on a ward.

Authorities say that Gonzalez was involved in two relationships with inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 2012.

While the federal complaint didn't reveal the names of the inmates, the source did tell the news station that one of them was Ronell Wilson, who is the alleged father. He had been convicted in the deaths of two police officers in March 2003.

In a recorded phone call, Gonzalez allegedly told the second inmate about her pregnancy by saying the following remarks:

"I took a chance because I was so vulnerable and wanted to be loved and now I am carrying his child."

The prison guard stated that she "kind of got sucked into his world" and "felt like, well, why not give him a child as far as giving him some kind of hope."

The prison guard reportedly informed her colleagues that she actually became pregnant in June 2012, while in a relationship with Wilson. She is currently eight months pregnant.

Gonzalez, a Long Island resident, was released from jail on Tuesday afternoon on a $150,000 bond following an initial appearance. Her attorney couldn't be reached for comment.

An affidavit says that there are video tape recordings showing Gonzalez and the convicted felon spending several minutes alone with each other at different times. Other witnesses say that they were also spotted "hugging and kissing."

Gonzalez could face up to 15 years if she's convicted of the charge.

In March 2007, Wilson received the death penalty for killing the two undercover police officers, James Nemorin and Rodney Andrews, on Staten Island during a gun sale. He was the first person in the city to get the death sentence from a federal jury since 1954.
