Samsung will reportedly debut the Galaxy S4 smartphone to the world at an event planned for March 14.

The news was reported to SamMobile by an unnamed source that added that the new successor to Samsung's currnet flagship device, the Galaxy S3, will also be released for sale starting in April.

The source added that the Galaxy S4 will be available for purchase starting first in Western European markets in early April while Asia should receive it before the end of that month.North America, Australia and Africa will reportedly receive the device in May or June.

The latest release date follows the line of previous reports that Samsung planned on launching the Galaxy S4 sometime between April 15 and April 22, according to Geeky-Gadgets.

The Samsung hype has also led to the latest unofficial rendering for the Galaxy S4 which showed off how the how well the metal design could look.

The image rendering was first published by Android Community which presented the Galaxy S4 as a total departure from the plastic-built of its predecessor. This render gave the Samsung handset the first generation iPhone look of black metal. The image also listed a series of specs as well as showed the physical camera button and stereo speakers set at the bottom portion of the S4's front.

It is more than likely that the image rendering is a fake, but the specs listed follow suit with other rumors.

The upcoming flagship device's suggested specs include a boasted 5-inch 1080p display, new Exynos 5 Octa 8-Core processor, 13MP rear camera, a S-Pen in the box and an enhanced Nature UX software skin. It will also come with Android 4.2 pre-loaded onto the device.

One of the other rumored features of the new device is a type of eye tracking technology based on patent filings Samsung made earlier this year.

The major U.S. carriers that are expected to offer the new smartphone are Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
