Samsung may unveil the new Galaxy Note 3 alongside the Galaxy Note 8 at the 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain starting Feb. 25.

The rumors were fueled by the news that Verizon is offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with the price cut to $189, according to KnowYouCell. This could be a potential indicator that Samsung is getting ready to launch the next-generation device soon as the Note 2 was only released last year and is already being discounted.

The current rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 3 include a 6.3-inch display with full 1080p HD screen, the new Exynos 5 Octa processor, and at least 3GB of RAM.

Samsung is also rumored to give the Galaxy Note 3 a battery life upgrade with a 70 percent increase, according to AutoMobile.

The MWC event begins on Feb. 25 and lasts until Feb. 28 meaning users only have a few more weeks in order to sort through the rumors of a possible announcement by Samsung for the Galaxy Note 3.

Previous rumors already pegged Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 at the upcoming European tech show.

Supposed leaked images of the Galaxy Note 8 allegedly displayed an ear piece that could possibly mean the device will act as both a smartphone and a tablet, according to ThinkDigit.com.

So far the rumored specifications for the Galaxy Note 8.0 includes a 8-inch display, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1280x800 resolution, a 5Mp rear facing camera, and an S-Pen stylus.

It is also expected to feature a variety of connectivity options such as Bluetooth version 4.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 as well as run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean straight out-of-the-box, according to The Verge.

Samsung has only confirmed that one new Galaxy Note will be unveiled at the MWC leaving users guessing as to if the Galaxy Note 2 or the Galaxy Note 8 will show up if both do not come together.
