A Staten Island nanny was seen via a hidden camera hitting a baby while trying to feed her.

The 5-month-old girl's mother had been suspicious of the newly hired nanny so she had a video camera installed inside their carbon monoxide detector, which gave them a live feed. While the mother looked on from work on Jan. 28, she witnessed Mamura Nasirova smack her baby daughter in the face three times when she refused to take a bottle.

The 52-year-old nanny then proceeded to shake the infant as she laid her in her child seat before hitting the girl on her legs. Soon after, Nasirova lifted the girl out of her seat and left the room.

While no sound could be heard, the expression on the child's face suggest that she was crying. The baby did show swelling or redness as a result of the slaps, and she didn't have any broken bones.

The nanny is an Uzbekistan-native, according to The New York Post.

The Staten Island Advance stated that the child's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roman Mardakhaev who reside on Woodlawn Avenue, N.Y. Nasirova isn't a U.S. citizen.

Mrs. Mardakhaev ended up rushing back to her home to yell at the nanny at roughly 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 28. The parents then filed a police report on Feb.1, and Nasirova was put under arrest two days later at the family's house.

The nanny's temper apparently didn't simmer down, as she allegedly fought with law enforcement while they attempted to arrest her.

Nasirova faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, and is currently being held at Rikers Island, according to a spokesperson for Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan. Her bail is set at $1,000 but she is still behind bars before her court date on Friday.
