IRS Sex Lawsuit: Man Pressured to Have Sex With IRS Agent After Tax Penalty Threat
A Fall Creek, Ore. resident filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Government as well as an IRS agent that he claims pressured him into having sex by threatening a tax penalty.
A law firm that is representing Vincent Burroughs filed a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court in Eugene on Jan. 25 "as a result to coercive conduct by Defendant (Dora) Abrahamson," who is an International Revenue Service agent from Cottage Grove.
Burroughs alleges that Abrahamson contacted him in August of 2011, stating that he would be audited by the IRS. At the time of her call, he says that he hadn't yet met her or was aware that he was even being audited by the IRS.
"She was sending me texts that she wanted to come out, give me messages because she needed to help me relax," Burroughs told KVAL News in a phone interview.
Over the next couple of months, Burroughs claims that Abrahamson sent him several text messages that were flirtatious in nature while also asking to meet up with him. He alleges that she also sent him racy pictures of herself to his cellular phone.
"She said she knew more than my mother knew about me," he added.
In the lawsuit, Burroughs says in September 2011 Abrahamson came to his residence wearing provocative clothing and that he was "sexually harassed and intimidated."
"Next thing I knew, she's at my gate, honking...so I opened the gate, she came into my property dressed exactly like she texted me. She said that she could impose no penalty, or a 40% penalty, and that if he would give her what she wanted, she would give him what she needed."
Due to the blackmail, Burroughs says that he engaged in sex with Abrahamson in his house that night.
The alleged victim is seeking restitution from the U.S. government for the IRS's part in hiring Abrahamson and not properly enforcing the privacy act.
IRS officials weren't available for comment when they were contacted by the news station on Friday.
