It seems like the spotlight will be turned on Dr. Reid in the rest of season 11 of Criminal Minds.

Judging by recent revelations about the return of season 11 of the CBS procedural, Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) is the character that is most mentioned. Especially when it comes to the midseason premiere.

According to the synopsis for the episode, titled 'Entropy,' it seems like Dr. Reid will be solving the case of The Dirty Dozen.

Here's the official synopsis:

"As Reid returns from Las Vegas, Nevada, he is put into a dangerous situation to help the team, by playing a vital role in what will be an elaborate, delicate strategy to eliminate from the world the network of hitmen who have threatened Garcia - the mysterious silk road derivative, "The Dirty Dozen" - once and for all."

Another interesting facet of this episode has to do with the fact that Aubrey Plaza will be guest starring in it. TVLine revealed that Plaza will be guest starring in the mid-season premiere of the series, set to air on January 13. The Parks and Recreation actress will playing the antithesis of what we are used to seeing her as, out of her comedic element. She will portraying Cat Adams, Dr. Reid's (Matthew Gray Gubler) date, who will put an awry twist on the romantic evening. Adams will pull a gun on Reid, and things will spiral out of control from there. The episode is going to be one helluva tense ride, as Adams will reveal that she knows Reid is an FBI agent and will have him get into action as she threatens to take down not only him but all the people in the restaurant.
