Angela Simmons of WeTV’s Growing Up Hip Hop reveals what she really thinks about rapper Yo Gotti’s crush on her.

Simmons dished on Yo Gotti sending her flowers to mark the success of her latest project as well as proclaiming his crush for her in his song Down In The DM.

“They were really nice flowers,” she told Bossip’s Don’t Be Scared crew. “I’m flattered. He’s really nice, that’s awesome…I did tell Gotti thanks for the shoutout, I was very flattered. He showed up to my faux fur launch and that’s where he sent the flowers actually and it was very sweet of him.”

But Yo Gotti wasn’t the first to mention Simmons or her famous sister Vanessa in one of his raps. Fans might remember Kanye West rapped, “I’ma need at least of one of Russell’s nieces…” pointing out that the sisters’ uncle is the Russell Simmons. Not all of the rappers have had the success that Yo Gotti has.

“I think it’s awkward when you’re in a room [with them], I don’t know how to respond to it… I’m usually cool with all these people, I grew up around these people in the industry so it’s all love when I see them.”

Meanwhile, rumors also have swirled that Angela and one of her co-stars Romeo Miller got extra close recently. They have yet to speak on those rumors. But fans will know for sure when Growing Up Hip Hop premieres Thursday at 10/9c on WeTV.
