New images were reportedly leaked of the latest controller for Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4.

A picture of the controller was tweeted on Friday by Digital Foundry that shows a headphone jack at the bottom of the controller that goes with the next-generation gaming console.

Two of the leaked images were published on the Destructoid website of a controller that resembles the current PS3 DualShock 3 devices but with a touchpad instead of the Start and Select buttons.

The apparent touchpad correlates with previous speculation about the PlayStation 4 controller, and the blue light resembles the same located on Sony's PlayStation Move motion controllers.

Past rumors of new controllers were reported by Kotaku in January that included two designs possibly in development.

Currently named the Orbis Development Tool, one controller will apparently feature motion-sensing and a capacitive touchpad, similar to the back of PlayStation Vita, as well as a 'Share' button. This new model is based on plans by gaming executives at Sony that want to ditch the iconic design of the Dualshock controller, according to PlayStation Universe.

The other input device is rumored to resemble a redesigned Move controller.

The rumored specifications for the PS4 were released by VgLeaks that includes the following: an 8GB system memory, 2.2 GB video memory, an eight-core AMD64 "Bulldozer" CPU and an AMD R10XX GPU, four USB 3.0 ports, a Blu-Ray drive, 160GB HDD, an audio output equipped with HDMI & Optical, 2.0, 5.1 & 7.1 channels and possibly a new design for the DualShock controller.

Kotaku stated that the current specs for the PS4 support the previous and current model Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers.

Sony confirmed that the PlayStation event on Feb. 20 will be live streamed over the Internet for fans eager to see what the tech company will debut, according to GameSpot.
