Kate Middleton failed to make it on the list of 100 most powerful women, compiled by BBC Radio 4 and created to showcase the achievements of women across various categories.

The judging panel reportedly found Middleton "influential" but not "powerful," according to The Telegraph. The list was announced in October of 2012 followed by three months of broadcasts on the matter along with thousands of nominations from the public and "experts" giving their own take on who was worthy of being on the list.

The Queen of England came in at No. 1, followed by Home Secretary Theresa May and Santander United Kingdom CEO Ana Botin in third. Supreme Court judge Baroness Brenda Hale of Richmond was No. 4. Other women to make the list included singer Adele, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, and former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

The list's judging panel was made up of author and journalist Eve Pollard, Conservative MP Priti Patel, television presenter Dawn O'Porter, Labour peer Oona King, novelist Val McDermid and former Woman's Hour editor Jill Burridge. Pollard said the above comments about Middleton, calling her not "powerful" enough to make the list.
