The Premier League champions Manchester City will look to decrease the gap between themselves and first-place Manchester United when they host the Chelsea side at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

City has not played their best football this season, as they've fell 12 points beneath their rivals United. To top it off, skipper Roberto Mancini's team hasn't won a match in its last three contests, including a 3-1 loss at the hands of Southampton its last time out.

City could be under even more pressure if the United squad ends up prevailing over the Queens Park Rangers in their match on Saturday, which would give them a 15 point cushion atop the standings.

However, City's dominant play at home could be a tough task for Chelsea to overcome. As of late, United is the only club to beat City on its own turf, as they've been victorious in their last three matches there against Chelsea.

Separated by a mere four points, Chelsea does sport a better record at City, winning nine of its last 10 visits.

Rafa Benitez's squad is coming off wins over Brentford in FA Cup competition, which qualified them for the last-16 of the Europa League.

Interesting to note, Chelsea does hold the best record on the road this season, but have given up five goals in its last three league games.
