Samsung Galaxy S4 Release Date in March? Leaked Images Show Possible Smartphone Case
New images were leaked that supposedly show new cases for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The pictures were reported by UK smartphone accessory retailer Mobile Fun that may give a clue as to what Samsung's next-generation flagship device will look like.
The two Samsung Galaxy S4 cases appear large enough to accommodate the rumored 4.99-inch Full HD display. There is an opening in the back of the case to accommodate a center mounted camera and the placement of the camera seems to be in line with the previously announced bumper case.
The tech site claimed that the images were taken by an unnamed "trusted Chinese accessory manufacturer."
Samsung is rumored to first unveil the Galaxy S4 in March, according to Sam Mobile.
The current suggested specs include a boasted 5-inch 1080p display, new Exynos 5 Octa 8-Core processor, 13MP rear camera, and an enhanced Nature UX software skin. It will also come with Android 4.2 pre-loaded onto the device.
The new device will also reportedly come with technology to track gestures with no contact needed. The new technology applications were filed in January in European Union are currently called Eye Scroll and Eye Pause. Both new features reportedly will allow touch-free gesture features that may be included with the Galaxy S4.
Samsung is also rumored to release a wireless charger with the Galaxy S4, according to documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The Qi wireless charger could be planned for another device as it is also wide enough to accommodate the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, according to Engadget.
The latest flagship device by Samsung will reportedly launch in April, after announcing it at a special event on March 14. However, Samsung is reportedly dealing with problems with the new Exynos 5 Octa processor that may delay the release, according to Android Geeks.
