Elle Macpherson Engaged to Billionaire Jeffrey Soffer? Details
Elle Macpherson is reportedly engaged to billionaire real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer.
The news was first reported by Access Hollywood with a claim from a source close to the 49-year-old model saying she will move to Florida to be with Soffer, whose business is based out of Miami. The engagement has yet to be confirmed by the couple or their representatives.
MacPherson and Soffer are getting married after having an off and on dating relationship for the course of three years, according to the source. The couple dated for two years before splitting in March 2012 and during their time apart Macpherson was romantically linked to financier Roger Jenkins.
The relationship between MacPherson and Soffer started again after he was involved in a November 2012 helicopter accident in the Bahamas that injured his vertebrae.
The helicopter crashed down Thanksgiving Day at the Baker's Bay Golf and Ocean Club on Great Guana Cay, according to The Daily Mail. MacPherson allegedly rushed to Soffer's aid from the crash that also claimed the life of his friend Lance Valdez.
A source close to the couple was quoted by The Irish Examiner at the time saying, "Jeff is very shaken up and mourning the loss of his friend. Elle is landing in Miami imminently to visit him and offer her support at a very tough time."
Both Macpherson and the 43-year-old real estate developer have been married before. The model married fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon in 1986 but the relationship ended three years later. She also has two children with her ex-boyfriend Arpad Busson: 15-year-old Arpad Flynn and 10-year-old Aurelius Cy.
Macpherson is currently the executive producer of Britain and Ireland's Top Model and former host of Fashion Star.
