New images were leaked on Sunday allegedly of Samsung's latest Galaxy S4, which is expected to be announced on March 14.

The images were posted to Chinese tech forum 52Samsung and show a device that is similar in design to the Galaxy S3, according to TechCrunch. The screen size appears to be enlarged slightly but the validity of the image is questionable, as it is likely a different device altogether or just a fake.

The image leak may also be a ploy by Samsung, as a similar leak was released prior to the Galaxy S3's launch last year, according to Android Central.

The latest leaked pictures follow other images recently taken by an unnamed "trusted Chinese accessory manufacturer," which reportedly showed two new cases for the Galaxy S4. The images depict cases large enough to fit the 4.99-inch Full HD display that the next-gen flagship device is rumored to pack. The cases appear to have an opening in the back that could be for the center mounted camera.

The rumored specs for the next-generation device include a boasted 5-inch 1080p display, new Exynos 5 Octa 8-Core processor, 13MP rear camera and an enhanced Nature UX software skin. It will also reportedly come with Android 4.2 pre-loaded onto the device as well new eye-tracking technology, according to The New York Times.

Users will not have to wait much longer to find out the real story behind Samsung's latest flagship device. The company tweeted an official picture on Monday of a group of dancers in Time Square for the upcoming Mobile Unpacked event with the caption: "Our #UNPACKED 2013 crew @TimesSquareNYC. Be ready 4#TheNextGalaxy. "

The picture shows the dancers with the number 4 on their backs, which is likely a reference to the Galaxy S4's announcement in New York City later this week.
