Jeff Gordon Test Drive VIDEO: Pepsi Max Hilarious Prank Goes Viral, Real or Fake?
NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon has taken a seemingly unassuming car dealer on a ride for a prank when he went on a test drive in a Camaro.
The prank was a Pepsi MAX commercial, and Gordon wore a disguise and drove completely out of control causing the man from the dealership, Steve, to scream and look incredibly sick.
At one point, the man said "You're going to wreck this car and you're liable for it if you wreck it."
When Gordon, disguised as "Mike," asked the man if he was OK, the man answered, "You're an idiot and I'm going to kill you."
However, Jalopnik.com claimed the prank was a complete hoax. In the first scene, the Camaro on the lot had a '09 sticker on the windshield, but the revamped Camaro was first made in 2010, according to the site.
The site claimed that Gordon was never seen when he was driving the car, as the hidden camera focused on the reaction of the man in the passenger seat. The site also claimed that there are burnout tire marks on the lot where the car was, indicating that there must have been multiple test dives and shots taken of the prank.
Also, the video was produced by Gifted You, which is owned by Will Ferrel's comedic Funny or Die company, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Either way, the video received over 7 million views on YouTube.
After the big reveal, the dealership was stunned, then said to Gordon, "You wanna do it again?"
