In what should be an exciting football showdown of the Europa League, the Newcastle squad will face off against a star-stacked Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday.

After a heartfelt performance only gave Newcastle a 0-0 tie in Russia, Alan Pardew's side is hoping they can pull out a victory this time around against Anzhi. The Magpies tweaked around their team for the tie in Moscow but will more than likely name a solid squad for the returning leg of the competition. The Russian's will surely be depending on veteran forward Samuel Eto'o to give them the goals they need in order for the team to qualify.

In the absence of goalkeeper Tim Krul, it's imperative that Rob Elliot be in tip-top form for Newcastle. Nonetheless, Jonas Gutierrez will provide the team with depth on the right side of the field while Sylvian Marveaux will be expected to take care of the left.
