Real Madrid will put its aspirations of a Champions League quarterfinal on the backburner when they take on Mallorca in a matchup of the La Liga on Saturday.

Having prevailed over powerhouse Manchester United in the round of 16, Real found out on Friday that Galatasaray will undoubtedly present the next hurdle they encounter to obtaining their 10th European Cup. There's little doubt that realizing that goal is the priority until the campaign comes to an end.

Madrid has been victorious in seven straight matchups in all of its competitions to help catapult them into second in the league, but assistant coach Aitor Karanka has said that the squad won't be taking Mallorca for granted.

"It would be a mistake for us to think that, because we have hit some form and after the games against Barcelona and Manchester, all we have to do to beat Mallorca is turn up," he told Real Madrid's official website.
