GSP vs Diaz Live Stream: Watch UFC 158 Online At 10 PM ET
In a fight that's began building up its initial anticipation for the past two years, Nick Diaz finally gets a shot at longtime Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre, who is widely considered one of the world's best pound for pound grapplers.
The GSP versus Diaz UFC 158 match started becoming a possibility in 2011 after Diaz had signed with the UFC and was set to face off against St. Pierre in late 2011 at UFC 137.
Unshockingly at the time, Diaz, who has garnered a bad reputation for his troublesome antics throughout the years, didn't show to the UFC 137 pre-fight press conference.
Due to Diaz's actions, an angry Dana White made the announcement that he was removing Diaz from the title bout and replacing him with Carlos Condit. However, the GSP versus Condit match ended up being cancelled due to GSP suffering a knee injury.
Upon the cancellation of the main event, the UFC made the decision to give Diaz another opportunity to main event UFC 137 against UFC standout BJ Penn. In an exciting 3-round bout, Diaz capitalized on his second chance and defeated Penn via unanimous decision.
Since then, the mixed martial artist has seemingly dominated his competition with one of his only hiccups moving forward being a positive test for marijuana in 2012.
