Saving Private Ryan star Tom Sizemore was attacked in his downtown apartment on March 14 at around 9 p.m, according to KTLA 5.

The suspect, who claimed to be the boyfriend of a woman who had been dating Sizemore stole some guitars and other equipment. Sizemore's property was recovered and the man arrested. The suspect was charged by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department with grand theft and vandalism. Bail has been set at $100,000, according to The Inquisitr.

The suspect threatened Sizemore and the woman with a fake gun at the time of the attack. Police told the The Los Angeles Times the actor was assaulted and locked in the bathroom while the suspect ran off with his equipment. It is unclear where the woman was at this point of the incident.

The actor played in Black Hawk Down, and became quite familiar with law enforcement with his starring role in Natural Born Killers. He was convicted in 2003 of assault and battery against his ex-girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss. Sizemore was also sentenced in 2005 to seven months in jail and four months in drug treatment for repeatedly failing drug tests while on probation.

Two years later, he was arrested in Bakersfield for the possession of methamphetamine. His last arrest came in 2011 when police who were conducting an ongoing drug investigation busted Sizemore outside of a Los Angeles apartment. They discovered that he had an outstanding warrant in his name for misdemeanor battery against Fleiss for the third time, according to Eonline.
