It seems like the best thing to do when the going gets rough is to blame all your mistakes on your staff. At least that's what the British royal monarchy seems to be doing. There's a new report that suggests Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are blaming their numerous PR gaffes on their "young" and "inexperienced" communications staff.

Kate Middleton 'Disgusted' With Sarah Ferguson?

According to the Daily Mail on Friday, things just seem to be going from bad to worse for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - at least in the public eye. The couple has been called "tone-deaf" to criticism and incredibly "work shy" considering the very little hours they've actually put in since the beginning of the year.

Many say that things started to go downhill for the Duke in particular when his private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton left his staff.

One source says, "There is a feeling that perhaps there isn't someone in William's court who will put their foot down and say no if they think William is making the wrong decision."

The insider added, "William needed Jamie for advice and counsel because he was younger, but he's a grown-up man now with his own ideas and opinions. He has a clear idea of how he wants to steer his PR machine. He has a good team around him, but the point is they all listen to William and rarely question him when sometimes William does need to be questioned."

Yet Ingrid Seward, the Editor of Majesty magazine, thinks Prince William is the problem, not his staff.

She explained, "His aides are very young and very good, but the problem is William has never really taken advice and has a tendency to think he is always right."
