In an interview with Hello! magazine, Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith spoke about the royal's personality, her marriage to Prince William and even her younger sister.

In the publication's March 25 issue, the 47-year-old, who is Carole Middleton's younger brother, said of the pregnant duchess of Cambridge, "She is this confident, clever, caring girl who has taken her responsibilities in marriage and job incredible seriously. I think everyone thinks she's sincere, in love and doing her job to the best of her ability."

He also discussed the first time he met Prince William when he and Kate were just boyfriend and girlfriend. She brought Prince William to a dinner party and Goldsmith said they are very good together and make a great couple.

When it comes to Kate's younger sister Pippa Middleton, he said she is very different from her sister and he defended her against hurtful reports.

"She gets absolutely slaughtered for not working, and then when she does get a job, she gets attacked for doing that too. The poor girl just can't win," he said. "It's so unfair on her. I wish people would give her a break and let her get on with it."

Goldsmith credited himself with sparking Kate's interest in fashion as he recalled buying Middleton her first Gucci purse.

The royal's baby bump was on display as she wore a tan coat while walking around Buckinghamshire on March 19. She is about five months pregnant.
