Lisa Rinna Lip Trouble, Responds to Surgery Implants and Injections Ridicule Via Twitter [Video]
After backlash erupted about actress Lisa Rinna's lips following her Monday appearance on Today, Rinna used Twitter to get the last word.
The 49-year-old filled in for Kathy Lee Gifford on the morning show and discussed Celebrity Apprentice along with her lips, after prompting from Kotb.
Kotb bluntly asked the former Melrose Place actress to "set the record straight" on her lips. Rinna then said she had silicon injected into her lips 25 years ago.
"Stupid thing to do," she said on Today. A couple years ago, Rinna said she had a doctor remove as much of the silicon as possible because the silicon got "hard."
"I find it so interesting that it has become such a big thing because I can't tell you how many girls have done their lips," she said, and referred to herself as a pioneer for lip injections. "I would do it again. I never had a career before I had the lips. My lips have had their own career."
Rinna posted on Twitter early Tuesday, "What you think about me is none of my business" followed by the Oscar Wilde quote "Be yourself, everyone else is taken." Later on in the day she posted, "OK now lets get my lips an agent and then were set!"
