Tina Fey, Sarah Palin Impression For 'Inside the Actors Studio,' SNL Famous Spoof [VIDEO]
Former star of 30 Rock Tina Fey impersonated GOP Vice President nominee Sarah Palin on Tuesday's Inside the Actor's Studio.
Audience members caught another glimpse of Fey's Palin-ness as she interacted with the show's host James Lipton, answering a few questions on guns, same-sex marriage, and women's rights, according to CNN's Political Ticker. Lipton wanted to clarify how to address Palin, who served as governor for only a partial term. Fey responded, holding up the impersonation, "Well, I'll tell ya, I don't know. I'm a half-governor, or you can call me a maverick-at-large."
With regards to gun control, she said, "You know, I believe that if everybody had guns, then there would be fewer guns in the stores."
"I believe that if more people had guns there would be fewer people left on the street," Lipton countered.
Regarding thoughts on same-sex marriage she said, "Well the Bible says it's gross. Marriage is meant for people who wear different kinds of swimsuits."
Fey responded to Lipton on the topic of women's rights and said in her Palin tone, "I don't think about it as a man's world or a woman's world, unless of course we're talking about marriage. But I think of it as people being mavericks or not being mavericks."
Fey did her original impression of Palin on Saturday Night Live four and a half years ago, according to CNN. Since then, Fey finished an award-winning run on 30 Rock and hosted the Golden Globes recently. She also has a new film, Admission, opening this weekend.
Palin later criticized Fey for "capitalizing on" her vice presidential bid. She spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week.
