While partaking in a 20-person skydiving venture, two men disappeared on Saturday morning south of the Zephyrhilis Municipal Airport roughly 30 miles away from Tampa, Fla. Their bodies were reportedly located at around 7:30p.m.

According to The Epoch Times, the two men's identities have yet to be released, as the authorities were in the process of notifying their families.

One of the men was said to be an instructor while the other was said to be a student. Both of the late males were from Iceland.

The skydiving expedition was led by Skydive City. One of the respective company's owners, T.K. Hayes, said in 2010 that there had only been 10 or 12 deaths in its 20-year history, according to Tampa Bay Online.

A 60-year-old woman passed away on a dive with the company in January of last year after the equipment malfunctioned.

"Skydiving gets safer and safer every year, but it's still an extreme sport,"Hayes said.

The U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) recorded 19 skydiving fatalities in the country in 2012 out of roughly 3.1 million jumps.

"Nearly the lowest rate in the sport's history," according to the USPA's website.

There was reportedly an average of 42.5 deaths per year from skydiving in the 1970s.

An investigation is still being conducted in order to determine what went wrong in Saturday's accident.
