A 21-month-old girl was attacked and killed by seven dogs on Wednesday night in Bryan County in Georgia.

The girl, Monica Renee Laminack, was attacked in her yard by dogs that belonged to her family, according to The Inquisitr.

The dogs were pit bulls and pit bull mixes and the Bryan County Animal Control euthanized them. Two other dogs that the family cared for, which were not pit bulls or pit bull mixes, were not involved in the attack and were not euthanized.

According to The Savannah Morning News, the girl's grandmother was sleeping and woke up when she heard a "commotion" in the yard. She saw the attack from the window but couldn't help in time.

Sheriff Clyde R. Smith said that the dispatchers received the call at about 6:30 p.m. that the young girl was attacked and killed in the yard of her home.

"All the dogs had access to the house, nine dogs in all," Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith told The Savannah Morning News. "She habitually played with dogs, all of them. But they drug her all over the yard. Something turned them on her. We don't know what."

The family believes she might have been outside with her 12-year-old brother playing and he must have forgot she was there, or the young girl might have went through the doggy door to got outside.

There haven't been reports regarding whether or not files will be charged.
