US Cellular announced Friday that eager customers can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S4 starting Tuesday, April 16, according to GottaBeMobile.

Though the carrier has not announced pricing as of yet, insiders believe it will be the same as AT&T's announced price of $249.99 with a two-year agreement.

"U.S. Cellular is thrilled to announce that customers can begin pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy® S 4 on its website on April 16," the company said in a released statement. "This innovative smartphone will be the latest Galaxy smartphone to join U.S. Cellular's line-up of 4G LTE devices."

US Cellular customers interested in pre-ordering the GS4 can head to the company's website and sign up for email alerts on pricing and availability, which will let them know as soon as information is released.

The GS4, Samsung's latest flagship device, was announced as part of a March 14 launch event in New York City that received a great deal of coverage and fanfare. Other wireless providers that will carry the device include Spring, T-Mobile and Verizon.

According to reviews of the GS4, the phone is considered by many to be an "incremental" enhancement over the GS III and not a revolutionary device.

The overall design of the update shows the Samsung screen has been increased to a full five inches and will be a Full HD super AMOLED display with 444 ppi. The key design will be familiar to GS III users as well but is not as flashy as its predecessor. At 7.9 mm the GS4 is thinner than the 8.6 mm thickness of the GS III, though both devices weigh in at about 130 grams.

In terms of speed, the GS4 will utilize either a Sanpdragon or Exynos 5 processor, which will draw upon 2GM of RAM and be capable of storing 16, 32 or 64 GB of internal files. The rear-facing camera boasts a 13-megapixel lens and plenty of battery life comes standard with a 2,600 mAh battery.

According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Samsung will also release a GS4 Mini sometime after the flagship's release in late April.
