The Miami Heat (66-15) will make the trek to the New Orleans Arena on Friday to take on the New Orleans Hornets (25-47).

With their impressive winning streak now behind them, the Heat will now look to completely focus on the task at hand, clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, by ending a road losing streak to the Hornets.

Miami had its 27 win run snapped with a loss to the Chicago Bulls via 101-97 margin on Wednesday. The Heat came closer than any other club to reaching the 33-game winning streak set by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1971-72.

"It was a heck of an experience for all of us to have together. We took a moment to acknowledge it (after the game) and acknowledge each other, but it was never about the streak. We have a bigger goal," coach Erik Spoelestra told ESPN.

Heat center Chris Bosh also chimed in on the streak, as well as the more important task at hand.

"The streak wasn't important to us. What's important to us is winning the title. That's what we work on. That's what we're here for."
